Annex: Cloud FinOps MCP connector and plugin
This annex applies to the hosted Cloud FinOps MCP connector operated by OptimNow (https://mcp.optimnow.io/mcp, formerly https://cloud-finops-mcp.fly.dev/mcp) and to the Cloud FinOps plugin and skill distributed through the Claude directory and GitHub.
Sections 1 to 12 of this policy apply unless this annex says otherwise.

What the connector does. The connector gives AI assistants, such as Claude, read-only access to FinOps reference content: guides and cloud waste runbooks. It requires no account and no credentials, and it never connects to your cloud accounts, billing data or other systems.

Data we receive. When your AI assistant calls one of the connector's tools, we receive the tool name and its parameters, for example the name of a guide or a search term. The request also carries standard technical data: IP address, date and time, and HTTP headers such as the user agent.

Data we do not receive or collect. We do not receive your conversation, only the tool parameters your assistant decides to send. We do not collect names, email addresses or account data. The connector sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.

How we use this data. Only to answer the request and to operate and secure the service, for example to diagnose errors or block abuse. We do not sell this data, share it for marketing, or use it to train AI models.

Storage and retention. The connector does not store tool parameters in a database. Technical logs, which may contain IP addresses and request metadata, are kept for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted.

Hosting. The connector is hosted by Fly.io, Inc. in its Paris (France) region. Fly.io processes technical data on our behalf as our hosting provider. Because Fly.io is a company based in the United States, some data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described in section 9.

Plugin and skill. The Cloud FinOps plugin contains text files only: instructions and reference content that run inside your Claude environment. It sends no data to OptimNow and collects no personal data. If you also connect the MCP connector, the rules above apply to that connector.
